March 13, 2012 Special Election Information
Five initiative petitions circulated by Chief Petitioners Sue Rosenthal, Elisabeth J. DeLapp, Ruth Hemenway-Durran, Hans M. Johnson, Jr, James DeLapp and Robert Scoggin have qualified for the ballot with at least 452 signatures.   The proposed measures were submitted to the Cottage Grove City Council at the December 12, 2011 City Council meeting for their review and consideration.  The City Council could adopt the measures or reject them.  If rejected the measures would go on the next election.  The City Council rejected all the measures placing them on the ballot of the March 13, 2012 Special Election.

The five Ballot Measures are listed below.

Voters' Pamphlet

Any person may file with the City Recorder a typewritten argument supporting or opposing any measure to be submitted to the voters on the March 13, 2012 ballot.  Arguments had to be submitted between January 13, 2012 and 5:00 pm, Friday, February 10, 2012 to be included in the Voters’ Pamphlet.  Submission information and packets are available at City Hall and the Library and for download below:
