Finance

The Finance Department is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information to the Citizens of Cottage Grove, management, the City Council, the Budget Committee and other external users.   The primary functions include accounting, budgeting, managing cash investments and debt, processing accounts payable and receivables, processing payroll for all City departments, maintaining the official records, legal documents and archives, and financial reporting.  Finance oversees the management of the computer network, telephones, utility billing, including collections of receivables, and municipal court administration.
