The General 90th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the filming of the movie, The General, by Buster Keaton in Cottage Grove, the City of Cottage Grove has partnered with the Hollywood Theatre in Portland (which is also celebrating its 90th Anniversary) and the Oregon Film Office to bring a special showing of this classic film at the Hollywood and in Cottage Grove at Bohemia Park.
The festivities begin at 7:30 pm on Saturday, August 13th with live silent film organist performances by Blaine Gale, Hunter Hale and Richard Hale. At 8:30 will a presentation of clips from "A Snapshot in Time". Historic film footage from the Morelock films in the 1930's. The General will be shown about 9:00 . It will be accompanied by musicians performing a special score written for the 90th Anniversary.
